The Rocket Grant
The Rocket Grant was established to honor the life of Rob W. Bartel, PhD after his untimely death May 10, 2020.
As a child, Rob’s uncle thought Rocket seemed like a good nickname. Little did he know he would grow up to be a brilliant engineer. Rob had a PhD in electrical engineering and spent his career in computer engineering and software development. He was actively involved in Metro Rotary and their many service projects. He was determined to be an organ donor in the event of his death. His generous gift has saved or improved the lives of many people through organ and tissue donation. Rob was a strong supporter of Kate’s Heart and his contributions, encouragement, and involvement will be missed.
The Rocket grant will be awarded twice a year and given to a pre-school, co-op school, home school organization, or children’s academic center for underprivileged children to receive toys, materials, and projects that focus on engineering and technology.
All funds raised for this grant will go to supporting the annual awards. Please join us in honoring this incredible man by donating to this grant.
